Elizabeth Martinet-Payne | Trustee, Policy Engagement Lead
Elizabeth is an experienced policy, strategy and negotiations adviser within the UK Civil Service. Her career to date has focused on UK and international climate and environment policy, most recently managing programmes at the nexus between delivering international development and tackling global deforestation.
She previously led negotiations on behalf of the UK at the United Nations climate summits, including responsibility for the COP28 Global Stocktake of progress under the Paris Agreement. Lizzie enjoys working with a broad range of UK and international stakeholders including governments, businesses and NGOs.
She holds a BA in French and German from the University of Bristol and is passionate about the power of language in facilitating better understanding and integration among people from different cultures.
